The Doubling Chart for Macbeth
This script is for a company of 7 actors.
All characters in the same color are played by the same actor. An X indicates the character is in the scene, an O indicates that the actor is in the scene playing a different character. A blank cell indicates that neither the character nor the actor playing them is in that scene.
Notes:
As of January 2022, we have not performed this cut yet. It has been performed by another company in Massachusetts, USA.
We collapsed most of the Scottish nobility into the character of Ross.
We cut Donalbain entirely.
